Unicorn in race for top property gong
Tayside’s leading property developer is celebrating after landing a place in the running for a top national property accolade. Unicorn Property Group – headquartered at City Quay in Dundee– has been shortlisted for best Scottish Property Company at the 2010 Estates Gazette Awards. The winner will be decided by the industry through a voting process and announced in June this year.

Unicorn specialises in contemporary new build   properties, sympathetic regeneration and heritage restoration as well as first-class commercial developments   both across Dundee and Scotland-wide.
The developer received the Dundee Civic Trust Award in November 2009 for outstanding contribution to the city for its magnificent Clock Tower restoration project and is currently in the final stages of its £18million Dundee One project – the largest speculative office development in Scotland in recent years which forms part of the Dundee Central Waterfront Vision.

Tim Allan, director of Unicorn Property Group, said: “It‘s a fantastic achievement to be a contender for the Best Scottish Property Company and we would be proud to bring the award to Tayside.

“Dundee is undergoing an exciting reinvention at the moment with dynamic urban regeneration along the waterfront and landmark buildings such as the former Port Authority headquarters at Customs House on the market attracting interest from investors.

“Unicorn is proud to be playing a significant role in the waterfront transformation, and to be recognised by Estates Gazette is yet another sign of good things to come for Dundee.”

Now in its sixth year, the Estates Gazette Regional Awards was set up to recognise the best developers and advisers in the property field across the UK.
